About Me
Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed being creative and I gained a passion for working in the garden where I learned a lot from my grandfather. Art was always a creative outlet where I was able to express myself. As I got older I started to use my artistic abilities at my church where I would work on youth group retreats. As for my love of gardening, growing flowers is a big passion of mine. I learned to grow many different roses, dahlias, and hydrangeas.
Professionally, art led me to Paier College of Art, Inc where I got my degree in Fine Arts. I later studied abroad at the University of Urbino in Italy. I continued my education by getting my teaching certificate at Southern Connecticut State University. I’m now a full time art educator with a floral business.
I got into the floral business because of a previous job of mine. I was asked to do a last minute wedding where I realized I enjoyed floral design. It was also one of the best experiences I had when I was able to see the bride react in such a joyous way to her bouquet. It was an amazing experience seeing the joy and happiness flowers bring to someones life. Floral design was a great outlet where it combined my love of art and gardening. Then I started arranging flowers for family members weddings and events. This is when my business first started out as Petals on the Bus, LLC.
I love floral design so much that I wanted to one day be able to make my wife her Bridal bouquet. In 2018 I married my true love Andrea, and had the opportunity to create her a bouquet. My wife and I have been blessed with 3 beautiful children.
In 2024 I decided I wanted to changed the name of my business from Petals on the Bus, LLC to Crowned in Glory Florals, LLC. I wanted to create a logo and name that would give thanks to God for all the blessings He has given to me. The crown represents the glory and honor that Jesus has been crowned with.
"But we do see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death" Hebrews 2:9
I also liked the idea of the crown being a floral crown. The Lily of the Valley is a very popular wedding flower. Lily of the Valley signifies the purity and happiness of a couples union to each other. The Lily of the Valley is also mentioned in the bible.
“I am a rose of Sharon, a Lily of the valleys” Song of Solomon 2:1
